The Kingscliff Foreshore Revitalisation
Boyd Bay Landscaping

The Kingscliff Foreshore Revitalisation is a three-stage $21.8 million project being undertaken by Tweed Shire Council to protect and enhance facilities along the Kingscliff CBD coastline. The project has been supported by the Federal, State and Local governments.

Blessed with beautiful beaches, Kingscliff has world-class surf breaks and is a popular holiday destination in the Tweed region on the far North Coast of NSW.

Last year a huge storm and king tides eroded the beach and surrounding areas. There was major damage throughout the area.

‘The climate here is typical northern beach …it’s brutal. High salt, high winds and high sun!’ said Damien Werder Project supervisor at Boyds Bay landscaping. ‘The DuraComp deck boards and kick rails are a fantastic product for this project – no maintenance, no rot or sun damage and really easy to work – perfect!’ Damien added.

‘The Tweed Shire Council in-house team were the project designers and See Civil the principal contractor who contracted us. DuraComp Deck140 was specified for the job and at Integrated Recycling we worked with Heather Bungey who made the whole process seamless’.

‘This is the first time we have worked with DuraComp composite recycled plastic and it was terrific. It doesn’t warp or cup and is easy to work with’ said Damien.
